If you’ve ever been to EPCOT at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, you’ll know that traversing the World Showcase and exploring every single available country is a rite of passage!

Viva México!

Altogether, there are a total of 12 different countries to discover as you make your way around the World Showcase Lagoon.

All are fantastic spots to check out, but I must admit that Mexico was probably my favorite compared to the rest!

The first thing you’ll notice as you enter the Mexico pavilion is a beautiful recreation of an ancient pyramid. Its exterior is stunning, adorned with plenty of old-world architecture.

Mariachi Music!

If you’re lucky, you might get to catch an authentic mariachi band playing right outside of the pyramid! I watched a performance of “Mariachi Cobre,” and I enjoyed every minute of it! My husband is a musician and he enjoyed talking with the band during their break. A group of really nice guys who enjoy their job!

The Plaza de Los Amigos

If you enter through the doors of the pyramid, you’ll quickly find that it’s no ordinary pyramid. On the other side of the walls awaits the “Plaza de Los Amigos,” a beautiful marketplace not so unlike one you’d find on the streets of Mexico.

The entire area is so atmospheric, it honestly feels like you’ve step foot into a real outdoor bazaar.

Another smaller pyramid sits in the background as a couple dozen twinkling lanterns guide your way toward shops selling handmade craft goods.

Dinner Under the Moonlight

There’s even a restaurant located in the back called the San Angel Inn. If you choose to dine there, you’ll get a fantastic view of the pyramid and water while you eat classic Mexican food.

Fantástico!

The Mexico pavilion at EPCOT “es fantástico!” The attention to detail is impeccable, and everything feels quaint and authentic thanks to the design of the pyramid.
