Cooper’s Hill Cheese Rolling Festival is a very popular event in Gloucester in which people attend to witness the cheese roll. The cheese roll involves chasing a nine pound Double Gloucester cheese, which is released by the Master of Cheese, down a steep incline known as Cooper’s Hill. This tradition dates back centuries and is now officially an extreme sport with people coming from all around the world to catch a glimpse of the famous event.
