If you’re looking to stand out in the competitive media industry, there’s no better experience than working on a national PBS television series. As part of our team at Michelle Valentine Media, you’ll gain real-world, hands-on experience in media production, marketing, and more—while contributing to content that will be broadcast across the country.
Internships are NON-PAID with required 120 total hours within a period of 3 – 4 months. Extremely flexible schedule, approximately 10 hours per week. Fully remote. Weekly reports, forms, and phone sessions with supervisor. Currently enrolled college students or graduates may apply.

Editorial & Creative Intern for Love Eat Travel Magazine
Are you passionate about lifestyle, travel, food, and creative storytelling? Love Eat Travel Magazine — a new digital lifestyle magazine inspired by the well-rounded, happy life brand of Michelle Valentine — is looking for an enthusiastic Editorial & Creative Intern to join our growing team! As an intern, you’ll gain valuable real-world experience working directly on the development and production of our lifestyle magazine, which showcases travel destinations, culinary delights, stylish living, and inspiring features.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist in content creation: researching, writing, and editing lifestyle articles (travel, food, wellness, home, arts, etc.)
- Contribute to magazine layout design using digital design platform Canva
- Brainstorm and pitch creative ideas for future magazine features and issues
- Help source and organize imagery and graphics for articles and features
- Collaborate on photo selection, formatting, and page styling
- Participate to contributing fresh ideas and perspectives
- Support content repurposing for social media and website use
We’re Looking For Someone Who:

TikTok & YouTube Intern
Learn social media management, post designing, scheduling, and analytics. All training provided, but preference given to exceptionally active TikTok/YouTube social media user. Must have creative video editing skills. GOAL: Increase views and followers
What You’ll Do:
- Creating/editing videos by using provided video content (TV show behind-the-scenes, etc.)
- Scheduling to platforms

Pinterest Intern
Learn about Pinterest social media management, designing, scheduling, and analytics. Preference given to graphic design experience in Canva or Photoshop. GOAL: Increase followers, pins, and clicks to website.
What You’ll Do:
- Create and design vertical images by pulling content from website blog and shop products
- Schedule directly to Pinterest and/or scheduling platforms
- Gain followers and creating engagement

YouTube Optimization Intern

GOAL: Increase engagement and interaction across all social media platforms.
What You’ll Do:
- Create engaging posts based on Michelle Valentine’s travel and food blog
- Design and schedule posts-from-blog in Buffer for Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and Google Business
- Write creative captions that encourage comments and shares
- Research and use effective hashtags to increase post visibility
- Monitor engagement and suggest ways to boost interaction on posts
- Track analytics and report on post performance
Blogging Intern
Learn to become a blogging expert on WordPress. Importing written blog posts and images, tagging, categories, affiliates, and html coding. Scheduling new posts. Updating current posts. All training provided, but preference will be given to experienced/knowledgeable WordPress user. GOAL: Richer SEO posts and appropriate affiliate widgets.
What You’ll Do:
- Creating proper formatting of blog posts from Michelle Valentine’s writings
- Change out current featured images on WordPress with new images
- SEO & tagging of posts
- Scheduling of posts
- Inputting html coding for affiliates
Newsletter Intern
Learn to create and design weekly Michelle Valentine email newsletters. Content includes updates and behind-the-scenes of the Love Eat Travel TV show, travel tips and new destination ideas from the blog, recipes and dining reviews from the blog, shop products, more. All training provided. GOAL: Increase newsletter views and clicks to website.
What You’ll Do:
- Creation of content for weekly TV show news, holidays, new shop products, etc.
- Collaborate to develop creative and interactive content
- Designing weekly email newsletters via MailChimp email marketing
- Usage/designing of ad copy, images, and links
- Scheduling in advance
News Media Intern
Learn media relations, news writing, and distribution strategies. All training provided, but preference given to those with strong writing skills and an interest in journalism or PR. GOAL: Create a thorough media list.
What You’ll Do:
- Create and maintain a targeted media contact list
- Design engaging news releases for TV show news & promotions
- Email news releases to media contacts and track responses
- Assist in developing strategies for media outreach
- Report on media coverage and outreach efforts
Shop Social Media Intern
Learn e-commerce marketing, social media promotion, and design skills. All training provided, but preference given to those with experience in Canva and an interest in social media marketing or online retail. GOAL: Create excitement and sales of products.
What You’ll Do:
- Create themed and holiday designs/banners for the main shop page
- Design and update product pages for the website shop
- Develop engaging social media posts (images & videos) to promote products
- Assist in creating seasonal promotions, new product launches, and marketing strategies
- Track engagement and suggest creative ways to boost product visibility and sales
Travel Cookbook Publishing Intern
Michelle Valentine is working on another book, a travel cookbook based on the Love Eat Travel with Michelle Valentine national PBS television series. Intern will learn about publishing and the design, layout, and coordination process of creating a book. Preference given to graphic design experience in Canva or Photoshop. GOAL: Have all recipes and stories ready for book publishing.
What You’ll Do:
- Connect with TV chefs and business owners to elicit recipes and stories
- Organize recipes and travel stories by required theme
Educational Resources Intern
The PBS travel series, Love Eat Travel with Michelle Valentine, will be available for licensing through the United States school systems. Learn educational content creation, lesson planning, and design skills. All training provided, but preference given to those with an education background and Canva design experience. GOAL: Create engaging materials for teachers.
What You’ll Do:
- Watch TV show episodes to develop lesson plans and answer keys
- Create engaging student activities and recipes related to each episode
- Design visually appealing posters and teaching materials using Canva
- Ensure materials align with educational standards and are classroom-ready
- Collaborate to develop creative and interactive content for students
TV Station Relations Intern
Learn to build friendly, supportive connections with PBS television station managers, programmers, and producers. Gain hands-on experience in light media relations and promotional outreach for a national TV show. Note: Main outreach is coordinated and applied by PBS. All training provided, but preference given to those with an interest in television programming, media marketing, or public relations. GOAL: Foster positive and engaging relationships with PBS TV stations.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist in researching and updating contact lists
- Send friendly, informative emails to introduce the show and share updates
- Help distribute promotional materials, light press content, and fun tie-ins
- Maintain casual records of outreach efforts and station feedback
- Suggest creative ideas for light engagement (holiday tie-ins, Michelle Valentine TV station appearances, etc.)
- Track and report on outreach responses and positive interactions
Qualifications:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Friendly, approachable, and professional communication style
- Organized and detail-oriented with basic tracking skills

Speaker Events Intern
Learn outreach strategies, event research, and communication skills.
