Media & Press Relations Intern
Duties:
– Update and maintain the media contacts database (TV, radio, podcasts, online outlets)
– Research and identify new media outlets for show promotion
– Call newsrooms and journalists to pitch stories
– Assist in preparing and distributing press releases
– Ensure accurate show information and episode details are updated across high-traffic media sites (IMDb, Wikipedia, etc.)
Why Valuable:
Students will practice real-world public relations and media outreach, learning how to pitch stories to journalists and producers, while also developing skills in online reputation management and digital branding.
Social Media Intern – Pinterest
Duties:
– Organize boards to align with themes
– Write keyword-rich titles and descriptions
– Design eye-catching variation graphics for Pinterest posts
– Post and schedule on publishing platform
– Track growth and engagement analytics
Why Valuable:
Students will learn visual content marketing and design for Pinterest social media, gaining experience in tailoring graphics for a niche platform.

Thank you for such an amazing journey during this internship. It has been so wonderful to learn about television distribution and the way in which shows are acquired by stations, how social media and SEO helps promote materials, how to use AI to make workflows quicker, and so many various terms. The skills I built over this time include furthering my capabilities with using Adobe Audition, Optimizing the organization of Google folders and Sheets, and Continuing to expand my knowledge on PRX and its various uses as an auditory platform. I can’t believe that this internship started just a few months ago, when we were relating over our broken leg/feet injuries. Thank you again.
