8 ounces’ soft caramels
1/4 cup Sherry wine jam
4 green apples
Lightly grease a piece of parchment.
Melt soft caramels and jam together in a small saucepan over medium-low heat stirring occasionally to prevent burning.
Pour caramel into a deep bowl for dipping and cool for 5 minutes.
Use a melon baller to scoop out the green apples; each apple should yield 12-13 balls.
Skewer each apple ball, dip to coat in caramel, roll in desired topping, and place on greased parchment.
Let the mini caramel apples cool for 30-60 minutes before serving.
Note: Refrigerating dipped apples will cause the coating to slide off. Toppings are used to keep the caramel from sliding off the apples.
