Ingredients
4 apples, peeled, cut in half, and cored
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon sugar

1 gallon apple cider
1/4 cup lemon juice
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350°F and line a sheet pan with greased foil.
Carve two eyes, a nose, and mouth into the round side of each apple half using a toothpick or small spoon.
Toss the apples with cinnamon and sugar and bake, face side up, for 30 minutes.
Stick a clove into each eye socket.
Fill a large pot with apple cider.
Add lemon juice and baked apples and warm over medium-low heat for 10 minutes.
Serve warm.
