Biography
Michelle Valentine is a vibrant artist, television host, and international speaker whose artwork reflects a lifelong journey of creativity, emotional expression, and global inspiration. From early black-and-white analytical expressionist paintings to her current colorful works inspired by flowers and hearts, Michelle’s style has beautifully evolved—mirroring her travels and the places that have touched her soul.
Michelle Valentine holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, with additional studies in Interior Design, Textiles, and Black & White Film. Her academic background, combined with her brief introductory career in interior design, formed the foundation of her emotionally intuitive and visually compelling art.
She first publicly exhibited in 2004 at the Orlando Museum of Art, where her painting “Distressed Frenchman” was featured in the Orlando Sentinel. Since then, she’s shown her work a second time at the Orlando Museum of Art, at notable venues including Steinway Hall Orlando (where her exhibition drew the gallery’s largest audience to date), Gallery at Metro, and the Baldwin Park Art Stroll. Her art has also been displayed at Wine Styles in Baldwin Park and was part of collections at Crown Bank and Aloma Executive Center in Winter Park, Florida.
A listed artist with the Orange County Registry of Florida Artists and The Artists Registry, her work has been featured on Orange/Vision TV, in cooperation with Orange County Government, Florida.
She is currently the host of Love Eat Travel with Michelle Valentine, broadcasting nationally on PBS member stations (and streaming via PBS.org and the PBS Passport app). The series takes viewers on cultural journeys through vibrant destinations, and serves as a natural extension of Michelle Valentine’s passion for exploring beauty, color, and meaning in the world. Her love for global gardens and cultural symbols often comes alive in her new paintings, especially those featuring flowers and hearts.
In addition to her original artworks, Michelle Valentine now offers her pieces as canvas prints, posters, and stationery—providing more accessible ways for admirers to enjoy her art. She has also launched a line of travel bags that feature her vibrant paintings—tote bags, weekender bags, fanny packs, and rolling luggage—allowing art lovers to carry beauty with them wherever they go.
