I realize that every restaurant location has their own recipe for the handmade Tiramisu dessert, with some better than others. Today, I’m here to tell you that I have the healthy answer to a homemade Tiramisu. It is a quick and easy dessert to prepare for a party of 16 people. For months to come, you will be the success of the party with this Coffee Mousse Tiramisu recipe!

2 hours 10 minutes (includes refrigeration time)

Ingredients

16 ounces mascarpone cheese

2 cups heavy cream

1/4 cup chocolate mousse mix

 

2 tablespoons coffee

4 tablespoons sugar

2 tablespoons hot water

2 tablespoons rum

36 lady fingers

 

Preparation

Use an electric hand mixer to combine mascarpone, heavy cream, coffee, and chocolate mousse mix; whip to stiff peaks.

Refrigerate while you prepare remaining ingredients.

 

 

Stir together sugar and hot water until sugar is dissolved.

Stir in rum. Line the bottom of an 8 x 8 inch baking dish with a single layer of lady fingers.

Generously brush the lady fingers with the rum syrup.

Spread half of the coffee mousse mixture over the lady fingers.

Repeat with a second layer of lady fingers, rum syrup, and remaining coffee mousse mixture.

Sprinkle the top of the tiramisu with cocoa powder if desired.

Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
