How to Get MagicBands at Walt Disney World

Keeping track of park tickets, FastPasses, room key cards, and your money all at once can get complicated when navigating a vacation at Walt Disney World. But have no fear, the MagicBand will save your life!

What are MagicBands?

MagicBands are wristbands that you can purchase in different stores all throughout Walt Disney World.

They’re designed to make your life easier – they can hold your park ticket, FastPasses, hotel room keys (so long as you’re staying on property at a Walt Disney World hotel), and credit cards at once!

Here are the MagicBands my boyfriend (now hubby) at the time bought especially for us… he chose pink (my favorite color).

To use them, all you have to do is tap the Mickey Ears center on the corresponding Mickey Ears scanner.

It’s all hands-free, you don’t have to worry about digging around for your tickets and wallet anymore!

Where Do You Get MagicBands?

Lucky for us, MagicBands are really easy to find!

Most retail stores in the parks will sell them in some fashion.

You can also buy them online on the ShopDisney website for added convenience.

Can I Choose My Own Design?

Yes!

They’re available in different colors and designs so you can get one that best matches your style and personality.

How Do You Set Up MagicBands?

Before you can start using your MagicBand, you’ll need to link it to your account.

Using the Walt Disney World mobile phone app or website, log into your account (or create one if you don’t have one already) and go to the section entitled “Link MagicBand.”

Then, you’ll enter the ID located on the underside of the MagicBand.

From there, anything on your Walt Disney World account will automatically get linked to your MagicBand!

MagicBands really ease the stress of micromanaging your vacation, and they’re so simple to use!
