The Royal Palace of Madrid
This palace is the official residence of the Spanish Royal Family, but it is also open to the public.
It is one of the largest palaces in Europe and features a beautiful blend of architectural styles.
The Temple of Debod
The Temple of Debod is an ancient Egyptian temple that was gifted to Spain in 1968.
The temple is located in Madrid and is one of the city’s most popular tourist attractions. The temple was originally built in the 2nd century BC and was dedicated to the god Amun.
It was later dismantled and moved to Spain, where it was reassembled in its current location.
The Almudena Cathedral
This stunning cathedral is the largest church in Madrid and the seat of the Archbishop of Madrid.
The Almudena Cathedral was built over a span of 100 years, from 1883 to 1993.
The cathedral is a mix of different architectural styles, including Neo-Gothic, Neo-Renaissance, and Neo-Baroque. The exterior of the cathedral is made of white stone from the Sierra de Guadarrama, while the interior is decorated with marble, granite, and alabaster.
The Fountain of Cibeles
This iconic fountain is one of Madrid’s most recognizable landmarks. It is located in the center of the city and features a sculpture of the Roman goddess Cybele.
The Gran Vía
This grand avenue is one of Madrid’s most popular shopping and pedestrian areas.
The Gran Via is also home to many Art Deco and Neo-Mudéjar buildings, making it a beautiful area to explore.
