Take a walk in the beautiful gardens at La Plaza de Espana

The gardens at La Plaza de Espana are some of the most beautiful in all of Spain. They are filled with colorful flowers, stately trees, and bubbling fountains.

My hubby and I just sat and relaxed on a bench to listen to the water fountain. The best time to visit is in the spring when the flowers are in bloom and the weather is perfect for strolling.

Shop at the Plaza de Espana market

La Plaza de Espana market is one of the most popular shopping destinations in Madrid. I had fun walking around and seeing everything being sold – from “Spain” refrigerator magnets with flamenco dancers, to “Madrid” t-shirts, and even a vendor selling Turkish candies!

The market is also a great place to find Spanish food and drink, as well as to people watch.
