I am an avid internet browser, and have placed profiles through a lot of different online dating sites, and I haven’t received many quality responses. 

Is it because women are afraid to hook up online, or what?

Dear Jeff,

I came across some fascinating data from the Society of the Scientific Study of Sexuality and the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors and Therapists:

Scotophilia (viewing sexual stimuli) is the No. 1 sexual activity in the United States.

Sex is the most searched topic on the internet, and men often choose websites with sexy, visual stimuli.

When women browse the internet, they favor chat rooms (mental stimuli over visual stimuli).

Additional research results show that online dating profiles are an effective way for women to find men – although online dating is a less effective way for men to find women.

Generally speaking, however, men who create a profile which describe themselves in terms of their ambitions and moral character – rather than showing off their physical attributes (via photos without a shirt on, photos lifting weights, photos holding big fish, etc.) – attract more responses from women, so praise yourself away!

Write a fantastic profile that talks about your life in a storytelling way… highlighting your qualities that would make you a quality boyfriend.
