During our filming an episode on Happy Valley, Pennsylvania, my crew and I had the pleasure of staying at the Hilton Garden Inn State College—a fantastic hotel that offered both comfort and convenience. Nestled just off Highway 322, this hotel was the perfect home base for our work in the area. Located within walking distance of Penn State University and just minutes from Beaver Stadium and the Bryce Jordan Center, it’s an ideal choice for travelers visiting State College for business, sports events, or leisure.

A Warm Welcome & Elegant Ambiance

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with friendly smiles and top-notch service. The entrance to the hotel was beautifully adorned with bright flowers, making for a picture-perfect first impression. Stepping inside, we were greeted by an inviting tiled entryway with gorgeous overhead lighting, setting the tone for an elegant yet cozy atmosphere.

The hotel’s outdoor patio also caught our attention—offering a relaxing space to unwind after a long day of filming. Whether you want to enjoy your morning coffee or an evening drink under the stars, this is a great spot to soak in the fresh Pennsylvania air.

Comfortable & Clean Accommodations

My room was a peaceful retreat, featuring a stunning view of the lush trees outside my window. Waking up to this beautiful scenery was such a treat! The room itself was immaculately clean and efficiently designed, providing everything I needed for a productive yet restful stay. From the plush bed to the well-lit workspace, it was clear that Hilton Garden Inn prioritizes comfort and functionality.

For our crew, the hotel’s spacious and well-appointed rooms were a much-needed haven after long days on set. Having reliable Wi-Fi and a mini fridge in the room was an added convenience that made our stay even better.

Dining & On-Site Amenities

One of the highlights of our stay was dining at Mercato Mio, the hotel’s on-site restaurant. Serving delicious breakfast and dinner options, along with handcrafted cocktails, this Italian-inspired eatery was a fantastic place to fuel up for the day or wind down in the evening. We particularly enjoyed the fresh, flavorful dishes and the welcoming atmosphere.
