I cannot seem to meet a nice girl these days. It seems as though all the good ones are taken. The only exposure I get is when I go downtown on the weekends, and that never produces anything but an empty wallet and a hangover.
I posted my profile on an online dating site, but received no responses. I need a girlfriend desperately. What do you suggest?

Dear Andy,
I suggest that if you are trying to meet women you should stop drinking so heavily that every time you go out it produces a hangover! Do you really think women respond positively to a slurring, drunken man at a bar?
Your statement that “all the good ones are taken” rings true because good women choose good men. You may be a good man, but your current behavior may not reflect that.
Try meeting women at different types of social functions, maybe even during the week, so your encounters are not limited to weekends in bars.
If you have posted your profile online with not one response, then you must be doing something wrong. More than likely your profile is not well written or you posted less-than stellar photos of yourself. I suggest you read other men’s profiles to see which ones sound and look best, and pattern your profile after those.
Also, have a good friend look over your profile (and your photos) to give you their honest opinion.
